On the hayride with Daddy!

Last Sunday we went on our now annual trip to Stonycreek Farm. It was very different being there with two kids. Connor did not want to do the same things as he did last year. Last year he loved the pumpkin train, and this year he wanted nothing to do with it. All he wanted to do was to go and see the Monster's Inc board and run through the blow up caterpillar. He did enjoy the pumpkin patch once we finally got out there. He enjoyed running through the trees and helping Daddy find the perfect pumpkin. As much as we tried to get a picture of both of the boys together, one or both of them would not cooperate. We had a nice afternoon, and got our perfect pumpkin!!

Garrett's First Cereal

On 10-10-10 Garrett enjoyed his first taste of rice cereal. I am not sure how much he actually swallowed though. He liked to spit it out and play with it with his tongue. We will keep trying though until he gets the hang of it.

Giggles!!!!

My cutie!

It is amazing how much alike and yet how different my little boys look! It is fun to try to get them in the same poses for their pictures to compare. I am so glad that my boys are so cute (Yes, I am biased!) because we would not have got ANY good pictures this weekend if they were not. Our photographer was HORRIBLE! He did not know how to work with kids at all. Alas, we made it out of there with some keepers though!

September Pictures

Look at me! I'm on my tummy for tummy time!

My angelic face

Yummy fingers! I think Garrett will be the thumb sucker of the family. He is much more content sucking his fingers than with his bink.

More tummy time! Look how high I can lift my head!

Like I said, "I just love my fingers!"

The Smith Grandkids at Grammy's house

As September rolled in, I rolled right back to work. With hectic evenings and jammed packed weekends, it has been hard to update the blog. Garrett is growing like a weed and is doing wonderful at day care. Connor is turning into a wonderful big brother and always wants to know where baby brother is. Life is a little crazy, but a whole lot of fun!

Connor's first Colts game!

Ever since we found out that we were having a boy back in August of 2007, Jason has been dreaming of the day that he could take his son to a Colts game. His dream came true last night when he took Connor to the Colts preseason game against the Bangles. We knew that he was not ready for a regular season game yet, but that he might enjoy a preseason game. According to Jason, he was so good. He enjoyed eating popcorn, dancing to the music, playing with Lincoln, and watching the game with Daddy! I don't know who had more fun, Jason or Connor.

Watching the game with daddy!

Acting super silly between plays

Gotta have the drink and popcorn

Taking it all in

Garrett David is 3 months old!!

I can't believe that my baby is already 3 months old. He is a very smiley guy, but every time he sees the flash of the camera he stops smiling. Luckily, Jason was able to capture this little grin. His big brother is able to get the biggest smiles out of him. Garrett is also now starting to coo and talk a lot. We love you, peanut!!

State Fair 2010

The Smith family headed to the Indiana State Fair for the second summer in a row this year. With all of the 90 degree days we have been having, we actually went on one of the cooler days. We met the fair train at 8:45 am. Connor was very excited to ride the train, and he loved every minute of it. We spent the morning riding the tractors, petting the animals, and eating lots of yummy food. We did not ride any rides this year, but know that Connor will be big enough to go on a few next year. With minimal melt downs and cooler temperatures, we had an awesome time at the State Fair!!

Looking out the window of the train!

Waiting for them to take our ticket

Riding on a tractor that is just my size. (Grammy and Pa have a tractor like this at their house, so we were a little upset when we had to say bye-bye to the tractor.)

Riding the BIG tractors!

We got a picture of Connor in the combine wheel last year, and wanted to get another picture of him in the same wheel this year. Well, this year he not only did not fit in the same wheel, but he didn't want to get his picture taken! We graduated to a bigger tractor wheel, and got this wonderful picture instead.

Connor and Daddy

Tuckered out after a day at the fair. When we got off the train at the Fishers Station, Connor asked if he could go on the train again. He has asked several times since we got home if he could ride the train. We may have to splurge and take the train up to the pumpkin patch in October!

Yes, this is the only picture we took of Garrett at the fair. This is pretty much what he did at the fair. We hope that next year he may interact a little more!
